Why Vote for Us in the Best of Hampton Roads Contest
First, we appreciate your votes that won us Gold in 2010 and 2011. We hope you will vote for us again this year, as we believe we are the Best Home Care and Senior Resource in the Hampton Roads area. We do our job well, continue to improve our skills, have external checks in place to ensure that these things are true, and we have a very active outreach program.
We Start with the Best Caregivers.
As a matter of policy, all Our Caregivers are screened, bonded and insured, must have a clean multi-state Criminal History Background Check and agree to random drug testing. After they are hired they are trained and must participate in ongoing training that we provide so their skills are constantly being refreshed and enhanced. They are also our employees NOT contract-help, which means that they are covered by our Liability insurance, workman's compensation, and we withhold taxes from their paychecks. This means that our clients never have to worry about being scammed, being sued because a caregiver got hurt on the job, or having the IRS show up at their door because a caregiver didn't pay their taxes. They can, instead, relax and know that they are getting the best of care. We think that having Caregivers as employees of Home Sweet Home Care Inc. is extremely important for the protection of our clients.
We Stay in Touch with Current Senior Needs.
We have a Certified Senior Advisor on staff, which means that we have a person who must complete 30 CSA CE credits every 3 years, and operate according to the CSA Code of Professional Responsibility to maintain their accreditation by the Society of Senior Advisors. Additionally, we are members of the Peninsula Task Force on Aging, the Western Tidewater Task Force on Aging, the Seniors Choice, and the National Private Duty Association, all of which ensures that we are abreast of current needs and issues faced by seniors.
We have External and Internal Checks on Performance
We are an accredited BBB member with an A+ rating. We also conduct un-announced, periodic Supervisory reviews on Caregivers in the field, and our CEO stays in touch with our clients via phone calls on a regular basis. Additionally, we also have an external review service and an external survey service to ensure that our clients have every opportunity to provide feedback on how well we are doing our job and what other services they may need or want. We want our clients to know our ears are open and that our team is always there for them. If you want to know what our clients think of us, you can view this video or read these testimonials.
We are Involved with the Community
In addition to the high level of care we provide to seniors, we are also very involved in the community. Since our company began in 2004, each year we adopt a particular Community Project that allows us to support the community. We organize, fund, and complete these projects each year with no ulterior motives other than to give back or pay forward as some might say. You can read about these projects in the Community Projects section of our website for more detail.
We also become involved with both time and money in projects run by others, such as the Alzheimer's Walk, Relay for Life, the food bank, helping seniors get flu vaccinations and prescription discount cards, as well as being a drop-off/collection site for numerous charitable projects, such as Scarf Up and Wiggle and the redistribution of un-used cell phones to seniors. In 2011 Bon Secours named us Senior Organization of the Year.
So we ask you to vote for us, but we wanted to show you that it is not an idle request as we are not an idle organization. And you can count on us to continue to put all our efforts into serving seniors, our community, and staying on top of what is important to seniors. Your vote can help us tell more people that we are not just another Home Care Company. We are the Best Home Care Company in Hampton Roads! Help us tell others by giving us your vote. Thank you!!!!
