Home Sweet Home Care Inc. was visited by the Smithfield Alumnae Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority becuase they wanted to donate to the Scarf up and Wig~gle program. We gave them a tour of the building and gratefully accepted their donations. Later we received this note and photo from them, which we also appreciated.
This is in response to a news article regarding the annual collection drive of scarves, hats and wigs to benefit the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good Feel Better” program. The Smithfield Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. collected items from members of the sorority and was pleased to present 2 baskets of items to your staff on May 9, 2013. We were warmly greeted and given a tour of the building.
Attached is a photo of Sorority Member Mrs. Betty Dupee, who coordinated the project with the Smithfield Chapter, as she hands a basket of items to staff.
On behalf of the Chapter, special thanks is extended to you for opening up your heart to serve the community through your in-home care services and services to women in cancer treatment. Service to communities is one of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s main focuses. Hopefully our donations can help in some way.

And with their help and a few other generous people in our Isle of Wight Virginia Community, we were able to provide quite a selection of wonderful scarves and hats to this fantastic charity. Thanks to everyone who helped this year!
Next year our goal is to have a picture like the one you see here and have the collection be so large you can barely see our smiling office staff. These scarves and hats will help women in our community who are dealing with the affects of chemotherapy.
